Baptism Invitation Cards

A couple of weeks ago, my friend asked me to make Baptism Invitation Cards for her son, who happens to be my Godson. She said, she needed it that day. So I tried to rush off a Digital Layout for Baptism Invitations. I came up with 3 Designs. I used Shabby Princess "The Promise Collection Digi-Scrap Kit". My friend told me that she preferred the first sample just because it matches his motif. I blurred out their name info just to protect their identity.

I am still a newbie when it comes to Digital Image Editing. I am still learning. I am so glad to have a husband that really  knows photoshop and who helped me make the baby's name monogram. I am kinda stuck using Digital Image Pro and I am still not ready to take the leap to Photoshop.

Acrylic Album

Cover Part

Scrapbooking using Acrylic Album or  Clear Album is another cool way to show case your photos. Clear albums allow you to use different techniques in Scrapbooking. You can do embossing, hole punching, inking and stamping. You will enjoy to embellish your Clear Album with rub-ons and 3D accents. You will be challenge in positioning your photos because it is a see through, whatever item you put on one page it will be seen to the next page. But, that is the fun thing about  Scrapbooking anyway. You have to LEARN and CREATE.

On this page, I used Bo Bunny Rub-ons. Had cut 3D butterfly from my Cricut Expression. For the other one,  I stamped a butterfly and I applied Liquid Embossing and used Glue Dots to adhere. I like the effect on the album. It looks like a butterfly is flying on top of the flower.

In this page, I simply used  Flower Embellishments from Prima. The secret in making a nice Acrylic Album is hiding your adhesives wisely. You really  need to position your photos and embellishments properly so no adhesives showing. You can also use a Vellum adhesive because they are really good for transparency projects.

Card/Mini-Magazine File Holders

Here's another neat DIY project for you. These sophisticated Card/ Mini-Magazine File Holders store your greeting cards or your mini-magazines in style. I really love the color combinations and the total outcome of this project. I tried to make it clean and not overly decorated. You can give this as Father's Day Gift, Birthday Gift or simply for your own use. Whatever the occasion maybe, these holders will definitely brighten up your home or office.

So, how did I did this?? Well, I made these holders using the "Filed with Flair template" by PAPERTREYink. I opt to use different colors to coordinate the paintings hanging in our wall. I attached 3 holders together using a double-sided adhesive tape. I made a Home cut-out from my Cricut Expression using the Home Accent Cartridge. I used a glue pen to adhere the letters. I then finished the look with a butterfly and crystal embellishments. 

Organize your space with STYLE and have fun doing this project. 

These wall paintings are my inspiration for the colors I used in this project. 

Popcorn Box Flower Basket

I have seen several flower baskets  using Popcorn Box. Some used Cricut Machine, others used the printed template. I have a Cricut Expression but I did not have the Cricut Box Cartridge, I am glad to find a printable template online.  Thanks to  Rebecca Oehlers for providing the initial inspiration with her template, found here.

So here is my version.

Popcorn Box Flower Basket Mini Tutorials


You will need :

• 2 pieces of Plain/Designer cardstock
• stamps
• ribbons
• chipboard embellishments
• flower embellishments
• adhesive

Here's how I did:

• printed the popcorn box template on 2 sheets of cardstock
• stamped along the bottom part of the box, if you are using designer paper, you can skip this part
• decorated the edges with adhesive paper ribbon from K&C Company
• used Fiskars Hand  Punch to punch hole on each side
• attached the handle using some brads
• for the focal point, I used scallop chipboard, if you have Cricut machine, you can make your own chipboard accents 
• used flower embellishments and swirl ribbon to complete the look.

DIY Butterfly Shaped Favor Box

Whether you are planning a Spring Baby Shower, or a Spring Outdoor wedding, this lovely butterfly shaped favor box is just perfect to embody the spirit of the season. This is super easy to make. I made this with my Cricut Expression machine using the Home Accent Cartridge. I will blog you later for the box template and tutorial.

Here's the look I was trying to achieve. I want to stamp the ribbon also but I was so tired already. Check the video below how they used personalized ribbons to assemble favor boxes.
