Faux Alligator Skin Valentine Wristlet

There are so much I want to do for Valentines and because of that, sometimes I am overwhelmed and I end up not able to finish anything. Have you ever experienced having a  "mental block"? I always do, huh! I know I am supposed to be posting everyday for the 14 Days of Handmade Valentine crafts but sometimes I just end up staring at my computer screen and can not decide what to do first.

Any how, For Day 3 of the 14 Days of Handmade Valentine Crafts, I decided to revisit my old post which is the Faux Alligator Skin Wristlet. I know, I wanted to do some packaging  for my Ghirardelli Chocolates and this Wrislet is just perfect.

This is a very fast and easy project and yet it looks so elegant + presentable. The finished project  is great to use as  party gift favors . It is great for bridal shower favors, baby shower favors, Teachers gift or simply use it as a great packaging for your gifts for any theme or any occasions. There's a free tutorial provided on my previous blog on how to make a Faux Alligator Skin Wristlet. Please click here for the free tutorial.

Valentine Cube Gift Box

For Day 2 of the 14 Days of  Handmade Valentine Crafts I made this cute Valentine Cube Gift Box. If you had purchased my 12 Days of Handmade Christmas Crafts E-Book last month, this is one of the 12 projects.

If you did not happen to purchased the 12 Days of Christmas E-Book, don't you worry because the Cube Gift Box Tutorial is now available by itself. Yes, there are some of you who had emailed me asking if you can purchase just one tutorial because you are not crazy about the other ones. Here it is now!

BUY Now!

This cute Valentine Cube Gift Box is a great packaging for any Valentine treat! The tutorial is  4 pages with 16 full colour step-by-step photo instructions for making a two part gift box( box and lid).

This cute little gift box is unique because it opens both ways while the box remains in the middle as shown in photo above.

I decorated this Cube Gift Box with a Valentines theme. I used my Cricut Expression  for cutting the "XOXO"  and the "Happy Valentines Day" sentiments. I filled the box with Ghirardelli chocolates and decorate the box with some more Valentine theme cutouts and then finished it off with a silk red ribbon.

The flowers that I used as a topper are also handmade. I will make a different blog post soon on how  to make these cute paper rosette flowers.

You might not have noticed it, but the Happy Valentines Day sentiment is suspended using an Acetate strip.

Who would not want to receive a cute Valentine Cube Gift Box like this?

Valentine Heart Box Tutorial

Hi everyone ! Did anyone miss my postings? Well, as I have promised, my Valentine projects are lined up now. My 12 Days of Christmas E-book was so successful that I decided to make 14 Days of Handmade Valentines gifts/projects.

Here's my Day 1 of 14 Days of Handmade Valentines Gifts/Projects

I made this Heart Box using my Cricut Expression Cutter. It has been a long time since I played with my Cricut.  And I am so happy to be re-united with my toy again after 5 months!

So, join me in refreshing myself with this Electronic Personal Cutter Machine. In this project I used the Tie the Knot Cricut Cartridge. You can use any cartridge that has heart shapes or, if you do not own a Cricut Machine, just print a heart template and make a heart shape cutouts. There are many heart shape templates online.  Just Google it.

I am intending to give this box to a friend that has been very good to me while I was out of town. That's why I used the Thank You sentiment as my decoration on this box.

3.  Attach the tab strips on the heart box as shown on the photo below.

4.   Decorate the outer and inner side of your box with decorative lace.

Altered Beads Jewelry using Kanzashi Fabric Flower

Folks, I am back and I am back for good. I am so sorry for not posting after the New Year. I have been travelling and it is really so hard to sit and blog if you do not have enough time and if schedule won't permit.
From Canada to California and now to Panama, Now, that I am unpacked and not living in a suitcase anymore, I can now face my computer and my crafts and business should be as usual again.

So, before I start posting theme projects, like Valentines, Weddings, Birthdays or Baptisms, I would like to share this Altered Beads project with you. I am sorry, I forgot to take the before the alteration photo. But this was just simple beads necklace and earrings before, without the flower. This was a gift I made for my niece last  Christmas. To jazz this up, I decided to add a little bling and a Tsumami Kanzashi Fabric flower as the focal point. You can do whatever fabric folding technique you want. Please check my free tutorial of the Kanzashi flower here, and the PDF tutorial for Tsumami Kanzashi Flower here

Please visit my Etsy Shop for the Tsumami Kanzashi Fabric Flower Tutorial

Here's a Bib Necklace I made for my Sister-In-Law last Christmas. She used it to embellish her beautiful cowboy hat. It is just perfect. Love the idea.

If you were to suggest a project you would like me to blog about, what would that be?

Bib Fabric Flower Necklace - Happy New Year 2011!

Happy New Year Everyone! Here's my first post for 2011.

I made my sister-in-law a Handmade Bib Fabric Necklace as a Christmas gift.  And she absolutely loved it! This was my first attempt to make handmade jewelry so I am so happy with the outcome.

The pretty and sweet color combination of fabric will definitely make a statement. The mixture of yellow, green and pink colors with different styles of fabric folding techniques makes this necklace interesting and unique. This is one of a kind design.

This is a 7" chain bib necklace and the yo yos are approximately 4" across, sewn together with the Kanzashi flower. I added some crystals as adornments. You can find my Kanzashi Flower tutorial here.

I can not wait to make another one of this  pretty Handmade Bib Fabric Flower Necklace. On my next jewelry project I will try to make the Tsumami Flower as shown on my Etsy Shop

Framing this Bib Necklace is a great way to present this very unique gift.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year filled with HAPPINESS, PROSPERITY and LUCK.
