Carnation Crepe Paper Flower Tutorial

So, as I promised yesterday, here's the tutorial on how to make the Carnation Crepe Paper Flower I used on my Triangular Flower Vase project.

Carnation Crepe Paper Tutorial

1. Die-cut, punch-out or cut-out circular shape from a crepe paper ( or tissue paper ) about 15-20 pieces depending on your liking. If you do not have a punch or die-cut, use a decorative scissors.

2. Insert a floral wire or brad on the center to join all your cut-out circle together.

3. Separate carefully the layer and pinch toward the center one at a time. Apply a little more pressure on your first layer and less pressure as you continue on the subsequent layers.

 4. Fluff the petals back out again until you form a perfect dome shape. DONE!

I am very excited to share my super frugal flower arrangements with you. I love how this Eco-Friendly Craft Idea looks so simple, yet so elegant. Yes Folks, this was made with recycled items like empty water bottles and a bamboo placemat. If you would like to know how I made this Placemat Flower Vase, please continue below for the tutorial.

This project is very inexpensive, super easy and fast. Just collect empty water bottles depending on how many vases you would like to have. Then assemble your flower vase as per instructions in the above tutorial. And please, do not forget to add your flowers. You will surely end up with a beautiful flower vase like the photo below.

This was a cultural event last week that I attended and decorated.  I was asked to do the decorations but the problem was there's wasn't much of a budget allocated for the décor so I came up with this idea - A flower vase out of recycled water bottle + a bamboo placemat. I think it is beautiful and  it coordinated well with the theme.

There you go.  Another super easy and Eco-friendly craft idea. Please stay tuned for more surprises to come. Yes, I will be finally giving freebies..like something you can hold and play with. Please SHARE this good news , LIKE and FOLLOW me.

Crepe Paper Heart Wreath Tutorial

Two more days till Valentines Day and I am still not caught up with my 14 Days of Handmade Valentine Crafts. I will be posting 3 separate projects today so you will still have time to make it before Valentine's Day.

Day 10 is a Crepe Paper Heart Wreath project. This is very fast and easy to do. You just need 3 materials in this project. A heart shape styrofoam + crepe paper + glue. That's all! Just follow the step-by-step photo instructions below and you will be able to adorn your house with this beautiful handmade crepe paper craft.

You can also use felt paper or fabric on this same project. If you do not have a puncher, just print a template for a circle scallop or just a plain circle.  Trace it and cut it. There are circle templates available online that you can easily print. Otherwise, you can get a glass or cup and trace a circle into your paper.

You can hang this Crepe Paper Heart Wreath on your door and you will be able to feel the spirit of  Valentine's  Day right away.

Make sure to check the other projects of 14 Days of Handmade Valentine Crafts and SHARE it with your crafty friends!
