DIY Ribbon Organizer

Hello everyone! I'll bet those of you who are into Crafting have rolls and rolls of ribbons. Organizing ribbons can be of a challenge. I tried store bought ribbon organizer, but I am not satisfied because some of them are not efficient.  Not to mention super expensive.

Here's  a DIY ribbon organizer I made using a corrugated box. This is super easy to make. I covered it with fabric paper and wala! I got myself a very in-expensive ribbon organizer.

I like to see my ribbons, so when I'm designing, it's easy to know whether I have coordinating ribbons or not. It's important to think about that when buying or DIY'ing a ribbon organizer. 

I will try to share the "How To" or "Template" of my DIY Corrugated Box Ribbon Organizer next time.

Pin Wheel Rosette Tutorial

Hi Folks! I am back with a tutorial on how to make this Pin Wheel Paper Rosette. Some of you have been sending me emails asking if I can make more tutorials using the Ultimate Crafter's Companion Tool. So here, I make a tutorial which is a cool project for you in time for the Spring season and for Mother's Day gifts. 

This is super easy project. I used my Ultimate Crafter Companion Tool in making my Pin Wheel Rosettes. You can do so many variations with this. You can put 2 different colors of paper together or attached a ribbon at the edge like what I did here. I sewed a 3/8 inch of silk ribbon on one edge of my paper before I score it. Check the tutorial below so you can follow what I am saying. LOL!

3D Chair Box Challenge

Here's my take on the 3D Chair Box Challenge. Isn't it cute and pretty? I just love it and I really enjoyed making this 3D box. You can find the details of the challenge at 3D Tuesday Group Challenge of Paper Craft Planet . This adorable 3D Chair Box can be used as a favor box for weddings and showers. You can also use this DIY Project as your cake topper as you can see in the picture below.

The Cake box is equally beautiful too. Don't you think? I am determine to do more cake box designs this week. When I am ready, I will post them here. For the meantime, you can join my mailing list here so you can get tutorials right in your inbox. 

I just embellished my 3D Chair Box with hand stamped flower bouquet, butterfly and May Arts Ribbon . You can also use different embellishments. There's a lot of  embellishment idea books available online. The possibilities are endless when it comes to decorating this cute 3D Chair Box.

Popcorn Box Flower Basket

I have seen several flower baskets  using Popcorn Box. Some used Cricut Machine, others used the printed template. I have a Cricut Expression but I did not have the Cricut Box Cartridge, I am glad to find a printable template online.  Thanks to  Rebecca Oehlers for providing the initial inspiration with her template, found here.

So here is my version.

Popcorn Box Flower Basket Mini Tutorials


You will need :

• 2 pieces of Plain/Designer cardstock
• stamps
• ribbons
• chipboard embellishments
• flower embellishments
• adhesive

Here's how I did:

• printed the popcorn box template on 2 sheets of cardstock
• stamped along the bottom part of the box, if you are using designer paper, you can skip this part
• decorated the edges with adhesive paper ribbon from K&C Company
• used Fiskars Hand  Punch to punch hole on each side
• attached the handle using some brads
• for the focal point, I used scallop chipboard, if you have Cricut machine, you can make your own chipboard accents 
• used flower embellishments and swirl ribbon to complete the look.

DIY Butterfly Shaped Favor Box

Whether you are planning a Spring Baby Shower, or a Spring Outdoor wedding, this lovely butterfly shaped favor box is just perfect to embody the spirit of the season. This is super easy to make. I made this with my Cricut Expression machine using the Home Accent Cartridge. I will blog you later for the box template and tutorial.

Here's the look I was trying to achieve. I want to stamp the ribbon also but I was so tired already. Check the video below how they used personalized ribbons to assemble favor boxes.
