2013 Graduation Invitation Box

I have received many inquiries asking if I have a 2013 Graduation Box Invitation design yet. So in honor to the 2013 Graduates, I wanna share a "re-designed" Graduation Exploding Box Invitation or Graduation Announcement. I have simplified the design of our existing grad box and instead of a pyramid shape, it is now a cube box.

This new design has diploma and graduation hat cut-out pop-up floaties surrounding the square cake. The 3-tier paper cake is embellished with polka dot ribbon and silver plastic cake trimming. The cake topper is a cut out "GRAD" text or script.

This  Exploding Box Graduation Invitation is one of a kind. It is a very elegant, modern, innovative and personalized Graduation Invitation.  This design can be easily customized with your personal details and photos.

Valentine's Day Themed Party + Freebie Organizer Tutorial

New Year's Day had passed! Now what?! We look forward to next month...

February, a LOVE month, HEART month, it's Valentine's Day month.

I want to share this Valentine's Day themed Sweet 16th Exploding Box Invitation Jinky's Crafts designed for one of our clients.

These Valentine's Day Theme Invitations exude romance, elegance and love. The red and white color combination looks really great. This box explodes when your guest opens it.  And it reveals 4 panels where you party invitation wordings or photos are. In the middle is a 3-tier cake with shiny satin ribbon trimming. There's a #16 cut-out that serves as your cake topper and heart cut-out pop-up floaties that dance and surrounds your cake.

This Red and White Sweet 16 invitation design is very unique.  With the intricate details, your guests will see you are setting the tone of your Sweet16 party.

This invitation is designed for Sweet 16, but it would look great for any teen party theme.  Like Bat Mitzvah Invitation,  Mis Quince/ Quinceañera Invitaciones/ Recordatorios, 18th Birthday/debut. Of course, this would also be great for Weddings, Baby Shower, Graduation...  You name it.

Before you go, we have a New Year Freebie gift for you here @ Jinky's Crafts. We all know that we are in the mood for organizing after New Year's Day. So here's a File Folder Organizer w/ Drawer Tutorial for you. Free.

5. Anniversary Exploding Box - This is a project of Cecilia Montanes, she is one of my clients who purchased my Exploding Box w/ 3-Tier Cake PDF Tutorial. She made this Anniversary Exploding Box as a gift for her husband.

I love how she turned this Exploding Box into a fantastic gift. Those die-cut butterflies are so lovely. I am known for turning  Exploding Box Templates into Exploding Box Invitations. But with what she did shows the versatility of this tutorial.

Check Out Our Client's Exploding Boxes Version

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you are all having a great weekend. As you know, I made a call out  yesterday to everyone who downloaded Jinky's Crafts Exploding Box PDF Tutorial to share their projects by emailing me their photos. Last night, Lynn Allen emailed me photos of her Wedding Shower & Birthday Exploding Boxes photos. I promised her that I have to share it with you today. So here is her take on my Exploding Box PDF Tutorial.

I love her version of the Exploding Box. Her choices of colors are really great. Her 3D Flower was also included in the tutorial she downloaded. All the die-cuts she put to decorate the box are all pretty! She really did an excellent job! Lot of work but I think you will agree, it paid off!

I love the Teal color and coordinating designer cardstocks she used here. And the die cut shoes is so pretty! Every birthday girl would be ecstatic to received a Handmade Birthday 3D Box as especial as this one.

I created also something like that last year for my Quinceanera Exploding Box Invitation and Quinceañera Recordatorios I hope these photos inspired you and hope you are going to share also your version of the Exploding Box Tutorial. Please email me and let us all get to know each other here.

Wedding & 18th Birthday Exploding Box Invitations

Hello everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your Saturday morning! I just wanted to share some Exploding Boxes project photos from our fellow Crafter's.

First, is the 18th Birthday Exploding Boxes Invitations by Zenaida Perez all the way from Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands.  She initially approached me to make a custom 18th Birthday Exploding Box Invitation for her, but sadly I had to say no because there was too little notice for shipping. I advised her to purchase my Exploding Box PDF Tutorials so she could just do it herself.

When she sent me these photos, I was so impressed! These Cream & Red Color combo Exploding Boxes are amazing! They look so gorgeous! She really did a great job and did justice to my tutorial. I am so proud of her.

I love the mini flowers she used and the red satin ribbon trimming on the cake! It perfect! Thanks Zenaida for sharing these photos. Now, she's waiting for a Flat Pop-Up Card by Jinky'sCrafts. I told her, I might come up with new design next month. I am super busy with all the custom orders I have to fill. So ladies, be patient with me.

This Wedding Exploding Box, is from Jan Bennett. Remember, she was our latest guest blogger who made the Teapot Exploding Box project. I love the layering she did here and those die cut hearts are too die for. Love love it.

Ok, I hope these Exploding Box photos inspired you to create a 3-Dimensional project this weekend. Remember, you are welcome to email me your photos so I can post them here. Happy weekend everyone!

Teapot Exploding Gift Box By Jan Bennett

Hello fellow Crafters! Today I am happy to introduce to you our new Guest, Jan Bennett. She made this beautiful Teapot Exploding Box using a Jinky'sCrafts Tutorial. Let's all welcome her and get to know her better.

Jinky: Can you please tell me more about yourself?

Jan:  I am a mum to Chris and Louise, mum-in-law to Simon and Nanny to Jack who was 7 on March 2nd. I  am a housekeeper manager working in a retirement home for people with dementia,  Alzheimer's  and age related conditions, with some of the most fantastic people in the world (residents and staff).

Jinky : When did you get started in crafting?

Jan: I first started card making when my sister-in-law showed me how to use a few bits I had bought at a scrapbooking evening.I soon got hooked and find it so relaxing and satisfying to see some thing grow from a piece of card to a work of art (most of the time).

Jinky: What's your style in Crafting?

Jan: I love anything Kinetic, decoupage, die cut distressed (Tim Holtz is my Guru), using templates and embossing with Glittergirls boards. I would like to get more into stamping, coloring and using gilding flakes.  So there is  lots more to learn in the future.

Jinky: Can you please tell me how you made your Teapot Exploding Gift Box?

Jan:  Using the instructions in your Teapot Exploding Box PDF Tutorial, I made the teapot in Crafters Companion snow white pearl card. Then I cut out the  side panels and made patterned layers, with the blue porcelain papers and decorated the flowers with some diamanté flowers from my craft box. I made the spout and the handle as per instructions and decorated once again using the blue porcelain papers. For the inside I cut the lighter blue papers slightly smaller than the template and then used a Martha Stewart punch around the edges to make it like a pretty tablecloth. I decorated the lid with a bit of old lace I found and the blue papers with a bit of bling.  On top I decided to make cups on saucers and a cake stand with cakes to show that we were having a birthday tea party for our friend at work.

Jinky: Your Teapot Exploding box is awesome! I bet your co-workers will be glad they received this. Thanks a lot, Jan for guesting in my blog. Much appreciated!

Jan: Thank you for taking the time to look at my efforts.

Thanks a lot for stopping by! I hope Jan's project inspires you today.

3-in-1 St. Patrick's Day Gift Packaging

Happy St. Patrick's Day Eve everyone! I have a cool green project I would love to share today. It's a 3-In-1 St. Patrick's Day Gift Packaging. It's a Card (1), a Gift Box ( 2) and Gift Bag (3) too! How cool is that?

For my Treat Box, I filled it with some Dove Chocolates and decorated it with some mini-paper flowers, blue, yellow and pink. I used Spellbinder die in cutting my window and attach clear acetate. Since my chocolate is Gold, I used a Gold trim for the edges on my  St. Patrick Treat Box. Sorry guys, I have no green goodies yet.

For my St. Patrick's Day Card, I decorated it with a Fabric  Flower then stamped some friendship sentiments. My Frilly Fabric Fabric Flowers is available here.

For my St. Patrick's Bag, I filled it with some green feathers. I am going out to shop today so I can buy some more St. Patrick's goodies to put in it.

The tutorial on how to make this 3-in-1 Gift Packaging  is now available at Jinky'sCrafts siteThis was included on my revised 12 Days of Christmas (1st Edition), so for those who purchased the E-Book, check your copy for the tutorial.

Ok, I would love to see your projects when you are done. Please feel free to email me photos. Have a Happy St. Patrick's Weekend! Happy Crafting!

DIY Cube Favor Boxes

Hello everyone! Welcome to my 1st post of March. Did you know I have a Pinterest board? If you do, you might see these bright colors going on some of the boards by fellow Crafters. So, today, I would like to share with you these DIY Cube Favor Boxes. They are a little different from my normal exploding boxes, since they do not "explode", but keep their shape once opened.

I am not happy with the outcome of the photos, but I am happy with how these beautiful and colorful Unique Cube Favor Boxes turned out.

Can you believe that I used just one sheet of cardstock here? Yes, this is a one-sheet-wonder technique. This Handmade Gift Favor Box is very unique because it opens both ways while the box stays in the middle. And did I say that it is super fast and cheap? Who does not love Cheap + Fast projects?..hmm??

My gift boxes are adorned with MayArts Ribbons and some flower beads. These Elegant Favor Boxes are great to use for Weddings, Mis 15 or Quinceañera, Sweet 16, Birthday, Anniversary, Bridal Shower, Baby Shower or for any event.

If you don't have time to Do-It-Yourself, or you want to cut corners and want to order the Favor Box Kit Supplies or Party Favor Templates , please contact me

Pinwheel Spring Rosettes Magnet

Hola! Happy Leap Day everyone! Did you know that leap years go back to the days of Caesar, and were invented so that spring would fall at the same time every year?

In celebration of spring, I have a super easy and fast project I would like to share. It's a Pinwheel Spring Paper Rosette Magnet. I love making Paper Rosettes especially in different colors. They are really pretty and incredibly versatile. You can see few of my Paper Rosettes Inspiration Projects in my website.

I love seeing these Paper Rosettes incorporated into almost everything. From Party Event or Wedding Decor, Gift Wrapping and even on Shop Windows on the mall. I just love them!

This Pinwheel Spring Rosettes Magnet is very easy to make. Check my Jinky'sCrafts website for the Free PinWheel Paper Rosette Tutorial .

I just added some MayArts ribbons at the edges of my strips and added coordinating buttons. I love the finished project. It is colorful and vibrant.. just in time for Spring decorations.

I then added some magnetic strips at the back of my Paper Rosettes. Ok!  Pinwheel Spring Rosettes Magnet - DONE!

Ok, I hope this simple project inspires you today. If you want to share your Spring projects or any kind of Paper Crafts or Fabric projects in my blog, you are welcome to do so. Just contact me and I can put you down as my Guest Blogger.
