Carnation Crepe Paper Flower Tutorial

So, as I promised yesterday, here's the tutorial on how to make the Carnation Crepe Paper Flower I used on my Triangular Flower Vase project.

Carnation Crepe Paper Tutorial

1. Die-cut, punch-out or cut-out circular shape from a crepe paper ( or tissue paper ) about 15-20 pieces depending on your liking. If you do not have a punch or die-cut, use a decorative scissors.

2. Insert a floral wire or brad on the center to join all your cut-out circle together.

3. Separate carefully the layer and pinch toward the center one at a time. Apply a little more pressure on your first layer and less pressure as you continue on the subsequent layers.

 4. Fluff the petals back out again until you form a perfect dome shape. DONE!

This will be at the top of the post until April 30th.
Be sure to scroll down.

Happy Thursday Everyone! Today is my turn to post for Crafter's Companion as one of their Design Team members. I made this Tri-Fold Shutter card and used the iconic kissing couple of S.W.A.L.K. stamp sets as my focal point. The S.W.A.L.K. rubber stamp set is called " A Little Kiss" and it is launched today along with the other 5 sets. You can check more details about my shutter card here

Below is the tutorial on how to make this unique Shutter Card.

Tri-Fold Shutter Card Instructions

1. Start with a 6” by 12” piece of cardstock.
Note: See scoring instructions using Ultimate Crafter's Companion Tool in Blue Text.

2. Score paper at 2”, 4” , 8” and 10".
( Line 4 on Box Lid. Fold once and score at line 4 again. Repeat on the other side).

3.  Turn cardsctock ¼ turn. Along the side, measure in 1½" for both sides.
       ( Line 3 on Box Lid )

4.  Make a slit with a craft knife between score marks 2" and 10". Repeat on the other long side.

5.  Fold card as pictured. This is the base for your card to decorate.

Crafter's Companion April Blog Candy

Crafter's Companion USA is celebrating their new information blog in style. Members of their design team are giving away some of their fabulous products to one lucky U.S. resident. Every single blog will be giving away a beautiful stamp set, a package of Rock-a-Blocks and permanent double-side adhesive tape runner. Except me. Why? It is because I already gave away these prizes for last month's winner of my first Crafter's Companion Blog Candy.

But wait!  That doesn't mean you are not getting anything from me. I received this new S.W.A.L.K Collection 3 rubber  stamp set last week and I absolutely love them. This will be available on store April 7th. Good news is, I will be giving this gift personally to this month blog candy lucky winner.

Who would not want this fantastic image for free?

See what I made already using this stamp set. I made this  Watering Can Flower Arrangement for the Flower Challenge this month on Crafter's Companion Challenge Blog.  You MUST check out the Crafter's Companion Challenge Blog. The prize for the Challenge this month is FANTASTIC!

My First Design Team - Crafter's Companion

I have some very exciting news to share. I was lucky to be hand picked as a member of the Designer Team for Crafter's Companion. I love this company and I love their products. You can learn more about this Award Winning company here.

I started my blog in May of last year, so I have not been blogging that long. I have tons to learn in the Blogosphere, like Blog Candy, Contests, and being part of a Design Team. I consider myself lucky when Bindy of Crafter's Companion emailed me and asked if I would like to be part of Crafter's Companion Design Team. Of course, I replied YES.. it is an honor!

So, without further ado.. here are the 10 Designers of Crafter's Companion.

Here's one of Crafter's Companion Award winning products that I  purchased  last Christmas - The  Ultimate Crafter's Companion Tool . I absolutely love this tool, and I have been using it a lot!  Below photos are some of my finished  projects using this amazing tool.

I want to thank Bindy of Crafter's Companion  for this wonderful opportunity. I am so excited and thrilled to get to know and work with everyone of the team. I love to CREATE, SHARE and INSPIRE... but I also love to LEARN too. So, stay tuned and please support me on this new endeavor.

I will be giving away my very first Blog Candy in a separate post . Crafter's Companion was generous enough to provide some cool prizes. Please stay tuned  and follow me over to Crafter's Companion blog so you can stay in the loop. To follow my blog, please check on the FOLLOW link on the right side bar.
